Ame is a collaboration between Andrea Gates at Qrios cattery and myself. Ame’s father is Rusik Knut Alexandrei lives at Andrea’s house.
Ame has two samples of the sunshine gene, which means she is classed with the new colour of Corin that is currently going through approval in Fife to be an acknowledge colour for Siberians. There has been lots of cats in the past with this colour but they have typically been registered as brown or golden. It is very likely that this colour will be approved this year, which means that these cats can start earning Best in Show titles.
Ame is still young, but we have hopes that she will produce some lovely kittens for us. When mated with Xavi, who carries one gene of the sunshine gene, we hope that we will have some corin kittens.
